7 How You Can Help
Superheroes don’t always wear capes. Or fly like we do. They can be people like you doing heroic things for animals, the environment and for other human beings. If you’re inspired to help Peregrine Falcons, here are some things you can do:
-Ask a trusted adult to take you to your local library or visit your school library to borrow books on Peregrine Falcons;
-Start a book club where you and your friends read books about endangered species;
-Join (or start) a local bird watching club, naturalist club, or an environmental club for kids;
-If you see an injured bird or other wildlife, ask an adult for help. Call your local wildlife rehabilitator and inform them of the situation so they can act immediately;
-Researchers have discovered flame retardants in Peregrine Falcon eggs. Encourage your family to buy products without these chemicals;
-Raise money to give to the Hamilton Falconwatch, the Canadian Peregrine Foundation, or any other group that is helping the Peregrine Falcons. Some ideas on how to raise money include garage sales, bake sales, lemonade stands, etc.
